The Berlin based music project still went a long way round.
Multi-instrumentalist Sebastian Mantei spent the early years of his career as guitar player
in many different bands covering the whole package from rock, alternative, metal and punk. Soon getting bored with the rock idioms he found new inspiration by instrumental music. His record shelves filled up with film scores, jazz, fusion, noise, classical and electronic music and the same way his repertoire changed.
Inevitably diploma studies of classical and popular guitar followed which curiously kept disconnecting him more and more from his first instrument. When he finally graduated he found himself more an electronic musician, his laptop being his primary tool. In 2009 this new attitude led him to Copenhagen, where he joined two labels focused on experimental Scandinavian electronica. During that time still was born. After experimenting with digital sounds only for a long time the first tracks of this project now merge the whole range of Sebastian's previous musical journeys - digital with acoustic sounds as well as they assimilate the tranquility of his former rural home and urban noises.
Thus still provided with it's live debut the perfect soundscape for the face the streets - exhibition on the vernissage in 2009.
Back to Germany he settled down in Berlin where he lives currently. After a couple of live shows in 2010 - 2011 supported by visual artist rhx, Still is working on a new set and tour, which will include more shows in Germany and for the first time international venues.
